How a same-day visit works
- Call (863) 555-0170. Tell us what hurts and when it started. During office hours the front desk gives you a time today. After 2:00 PM, on weekends and overnight, an answering service takes your details and holds you the first opening at 8:00 AM the next business morning.
- We hold the time. Arrive a few minutes early with your ID and, if you have one, your insurance card. Please don't just show up without calling; we can't promise a chair to walk-ins.
- Exam, X-ray, plain answer. One of our dentists looks at the tooth and the X-ray, explains what's going on, and writes down what the treatment would cost. You decide. Then we get to work.

If you're paying without insurance, the visit starts at $70. That gets you a limited, problem-focused exam of the tooth that hurts and the X-ray our dentist needs to see what's happening under the gum. From there you get a written price for the actual treatment before anyone picks up an instrument.

We don't publish treatment prices because the right treatment depends on the X-ray. A cracked molar might need a crown, or it might need to come out. Different jobs, different prices. How pricing works is laid out on our cost and insurance page.
Insurance and payment
We accept most PPO dental plans and several Medicare Advantage plans. If you have a PPO plan, the exam and X-ray are billed to your plan. Have the plan name ready when you call, or bring the card.
Paying out of pocket? Cherry and CareCredit financing are available; ask at the front desk before treatment starts.
Open at 8am, Monday through Friday
Our doors open at 8:00 AM, which means a tooth that started throbbing at midnight can be looked at before most offices in Polk County have unlocked their front door. We close at 2:00 PM. Call after that and the answering service holds you the first slot the next morning; call on a Saturday or Sunday and you're first in line Monday at 8:00 AM.

What if it's the weekend or after 2pm?
The phone is still answered by a real person. Tell them what's wrong and they'll hold you the first opening at 8:00 AM the next business day. If your face is swelling, you have a fever, or it's hard to swallow or breathe, go to the nearest emergency room first and call us afterward.
How much does an emergency visit cost?
For patients paying without insurance, the exam and X-ray start at $70. Treatment is separate: our dentist tells you the price in writing before anything begins, and you choose whether to go ahead. PPO patients have the exam billed to their plan. Cherry and CareCredit financing are available.
Do you speak Spanish?
Our office staff speak Spanish during office hours, on the phone and in the chair. Call and explain the problem in whichever language is easier. The after-hours answering service takes your details in English and we call you back in the morning.
