The $70 is a minimum fee for patients paying without insurance. It covers a limited, problem-focused emergency exam (ADA code D0140) and the X-ray needed to diagnose the tooth. Treatment is priced separately and quoted to you in writing before any work starts.

- Downtown Winter Haven (4 to 8 minutes): straight up US 17 from Central Park and the Chain of Lakes Trailhead.
- Inwood (5 to 10 minutes): the neighborhood between Lake Cannon and Lake Hartridge, a few minutes along Havendale Boulevard.
- Auburndale (8 to 12 minutes): Havendale Boulevard runs from US 92 at Auburndale directly to our door.
- Lake Alfred (8 to 12 minutes): US 17 south to Havendale Boulevard.
- Jan Phyl Village (10 to 15 minutes): Spirit Lake Road to Avenue G, or Havendale from the Auburndale side.

Same-day care wherever you're coming from
The process is the same from every direction. Call first. Tell us what's wrong. We hold you a time today during office hours, or the first slot at 8:00 AM the next business morning if you call after 2:00 PM or on a weekend. When you arrive, our dentist examines the tooth, takes an X-ray, and writes down the treatment price before anything starts. Extractions, root canals, abscess treatment, broken tooth repair and lost crowns are all handled in our office at that visit whenever the diagnosis allows.
Cost is the same from every town
$70 for the exam and X-ray if you're paying without insurance, billed to your plan if you have a PPO we accept, and a written price for treatment either way. The cost and insurance page has the insurance list.

Which hospital is closest if I need the ER instead?
Winter Haven Hospital, on First Street North near downtown, is about a mile and a half from our office. Go there first for swelling that affects breathing or swallowing, high fever with a dental infection, or a facial injury with a possible broken jaw. Call (863) 555-0170 afterward.
I'm coming from Lakeland. Is it worth the drive?
If you can be seen the same day and the alternative is waiting a week, most patients think so. The drive along US 92 is about 25 minutes. Call first so a chair is waiting when you arrive.
Do you serve the Four Corners or Davenport area?
Yes. Davenport is about 15 miles via US 17/92, and we see patients from there regularly. Same rules: call first, same-day appointment during office hours.
