How an emergency visit is priced
There are two parts to the cost, and we keep them separate on purpose.
Part one: finding out what's wrong. If you're paying without insurance, that's the $70. Our dentist examines the tooth that's bothering you and takes the X-ray needed to see beneath the surface. If you have a PPO plan we accept, the exam and X-ray are billed to your plan instead.
Part two: fixing it. Once the X-ray is up, our dentist explains what's happening and what the treatment would cost. The figure is written down. You decide whether to go ahead. Nothing starts until you've said yes to a price you've seen.
Why we don't list treatment prices
Because we'd be guessing, and a guess on a website turns into an argument at the front desk. A cracked molar might need a filling, a crown, a root canal and a crown, or an extraction. Those are four different prices, and only the X-ray says which one applies to your tooth. The honest version is: $70 to find out, a written price for whatever comes next, and your decision in between.

Your plan's rules on deductibles, annual maximums and what it covers are its own. The written price you approve is the price of the treatment; what your plan pays toward it depends on your policy.
Paying without insurance
Plenty of patients pay out of pocket, and the process is the same: $70 for the exam and X-ray, then a written price for treatment. We accept cash and cards.
If you'd rather spread the cost out, Cherry and CareCredit financing are available. Ask at the front desk before treatment starts and we'll walk through the options with you; we don't make claims about rates, terms or approval here because those belong to the financing company and your application.
What the $70 does and doesn't include
It includes a limited, problem-focused exam of the tooth or area that brought you in, and the X-ray needed to diagnose it. It does not include treatment of any kind, a full-mouth exam, a cleaning, or X-rays of teeth that aren't part of the problem. If you'd like a complete checkup afterward, that's a separate, regular appointment.

Can I get a price over the phone?
For the exam and X-ray, yes: $70 if you're paying without insurance. For treatment, no, because nobody can price a tooth they haven't seen on an X-ray. What we can promise is that you'll see the written price before anything starts.
What if I need more than one thing done?
Each procedure is listed on the written plan with its own price, and you can choose to do the urgent one today and the rest later. Our dentist will tell you which part can't wait.
